‘COMPETITION IS COLLABORATION IN DISGUISE…’
” Hmmm… 🤔 What are you trying to say, Ronit?
Isn’t competition the enemy of collaboration? “
Well, I don’t think so. Let’s explore this together…
It’s been 6 months since I entered the so-called ‘real’ world.
Here’s my biggest realization :
The world out there works on collaboration, not competition.
From the outside, sports, business and games seem to be thriving on competition (which is true only to some extent)
However, they are more about collaboration than competition. It is more about whom you collaborate with to form a team, rather than who is in the opposite team.
In my view, competition is also a form of collaboration. It is a way of keeping each other accountable.
Competition is a collaboration that perpetuates long-term growth and eliminates complacency. It pushes all the parties involved to do better, to be better.
This, in turn, is good for the entire human race.
Sure, when it goes out of hand, it can be dangerous. But isn’t that the case with everything?
Healthy competition is collaboration in disguise, that moves the cradle of humanity forward.
